NXT Literary

The Literary Division of NXT has a well respected list of Screenwriters, Playwrights and Directors covering the areas of Literary Fiction, Narrative Non Fiction, Short Fiction, Screenplays, Reality TV, and Sitcom.

We strive to represent our clients, not just individual projects; more than selling books, optioning film or television projects we work as our clients’ creative and business partners throughout the entire process.

Our goal for you is help to lend our skills at editorial development and marketing to the creation and successful publication of important, useful and entertaining works in a variety of films, television, audio, video, books, magazines and electronic formats.

Submission Process:
Please do not phone; we prefer to “hear” your writing voice first. If you are not sure that your writing is appropriate for our agency, send us a brief e-mail.

Submission by E-mail:
Begin with an e-mail query-no attachments. If we are interested, we will request further material from you. Please note due to the large number of submissions that we receive, we will not respond to your e-mail unless we intend to consider your work further.

Submission by Regular Mail:
If you wish to submit by mail, please send your submission to our offices. If you do not have an e-mail address, or you would like your materials returned to you include a self address stamped envelope for your response, otherwise your materials will be promptly destroyed.

We try to response as quickly as possible, but please allow 4-6 weeks.

Submission Material:

1. A query letter

If we choose to find out more information after we receive your query then we will need the following along with a signed release from our agency that we will provide to you. Once you have received the release form we will need three original signatures returned to us along with the following.

• Title
• Treatment/Synopsis
• A brief description of your Screenplay, Book
• The genre-fiction, non fiction, biography
• The approximate word count
• The author’s information- (A brief author’s bio) writing experience, qualifications, published works, awards, etc.
• The first 20 pages (fiction) or sample chapter (non-fiction).

For non-fiction material please include the following:

• An outline of your project/market
• Chapter headings with a brief outline of the covered material.
